SPORT News: 5 Nigerians make NBA draft

Five Ngerians make it into the NBA draft. Which is a freat feat for Nigeria although they didnt make it to top spots.
According to the draft, Ogugua Anunoby was picked by Toronto Raptors, who are headed by a former Nigeria international Masai Ujiri and Jesusemilore Ojeleye was the 37th pick of the event for the Celtics.
Also, Ike Anigbogu was picked at number 47 by Indiana Pacers while Bam Adebayo was picked at number 12 by the Miami Heat and Wesley Iwundu made the list, which had 60 selected players, at number 33. He will play for Orlando Magic.
Meanwhile, Nigeria coach William Voigt was excited with the development.
Voigt who won Nigeria their first AfroBasket in 2015 believes the future is bright for the country’s basketball.
“The future is bright,” the American tweeted on Friday.
Voigt will be preparing for a defence of the African title after his last outing at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
